A single question……

After a short sabbatical from blogging…Here I am with a new form of fiction.(A new form for my blog.) Its a 77 fiction. I tried writing a 55. But couldn't restrict myself to 55 words. So came up with this 77 fiction.

77 Fiction is a form of micro fiction that refers to the works of fiction limited to a maximum of seventy-seven words.Most 77 Fiction works are dramatized so as to get the effect in limited time.

Arun returned home very sadly….

His mom exclaimed “What happened to the interview son?”

Arun replied “They asked me a question for which I could not answer”

Mom: “Why Arun? Did they ask something which you haven't learnt?”

Arun:Mom… They asked me a question for which I cannot answer “YES” through out my life time..

Mom: What was that question for which you cannot answer the whole life?

Arun replied “Have you got your recommendation letter?”

Guys this is my second attempt… Will try to improve soon in this form of genre..

Not bad at all Shankar!
But could be more comical, like

Arun returned home very sadly….

I know it was sick but couldnt resist posting!

Hey! Good one...

Yep! Pawan has given quite an entertaining turn to the story. Well... the protagonist could have given any answer and then said that all got to abide by his: "Heads I win, tails you lose" policy ;)

Hey this was good. I really liked it. And I dont think you shud have made it comical because your story has a message. It shows how pathetic interviews are these days. All they need is recommendation letters. Try writing more :)

Nice one da. I tried one 66 fiction and then gave it to Shruthi to write a 55 fiction on that concept. Namma differenta pananum da 77, 66 antha madhiri. I thought the question would be What is the name of your Father? :D weird but yes

You are improving by the day :D this one was very nice and true as well.... Pawan's one was one too.... And as far as moving to wordpress.com is concerned I think you can do it as wordpress is doing very well now-a-days with lots of in built features .... Just a suggestion as I have been using it since last 7-8 months and have no complaints at all ...

but i dont agree tht u cudnt fit in these wrds in 55 wrds.. rathr i saw unnecessary repetition it this piece which should not b thr in short fiction as evry wrd shud count..
For eg:
Arun:Mom… They asked me a question for which I cannot answer “YES” through out my life time..
Mom: What was that question for which you cannot answer the whole life?
should have a truncated dialogue frm mother like "What question beta?"
